REQUEST FOR UNITY CAMPAIGN
UNITY FOR EDUCATION, AND CELEBRATION OF CULTURE
The "Youth Dem Future" [Enfants Du Future] will be launching their first annual "REQUEST FOR UNITY" Campaign this September. We will be commencing the campaign September 2nd, 2011 with an opening event that will have live performances by Montreal's best entertainment within the Reggae industry, helping us raise funds for brochures and advertising. We will also be donating 50% of the profit to a local charity that falls under the same category. The rest of the campaign will continue until the October 1st, 2011. It will be a closure event for all ages with live entertainment, Caribbean food, and activities for all. Between those times we will be handing out brochures, making guest speeches at any event that has to do with youth, and expresses the importance of education and/or culture. During this time we will also be completing several radio interviews on French and English college radio discussing the campaign and our mission.
This year our Launch is to help inform parents and children about the importance of education and the importance of their cultural background. We will be leading into an annual summer project to build a program for Caribbean Decent Youths to learn about their culture and learning activities. This would be a free or small fee summer camp for the month of July every year. On a regular basis this campaign would run from June until September.
Though the campaign will only run for a certain amount of time, the Request For Unity Event will continue throughout the year with 6 events a year. All donations being split between the Campaign itself and a organization of choice.
What your donations will help towards
- Administration Fees........................... $200
- Brochures & Flyers........................... $500
- Gas Expenses.................................... $100
- Future Fundraising Events.................. $2500
(Venue, Security, Artists, DJs, & Advertising)- Starting a Program/Summer Camp..... $(Pending)
Other Campaigns in the works:
